Here's mine currently not the most attractive setup but I'm a function over form type of guy.

I'm running blow-thru and can't say how good it was running this setup I wouldn't change it for anything.

XPRTC you won't be disappointed going to blow-thru.
The turbo spool and wastegate espicially open dump is crazy. As soon as I hit a little boost the wastegate starts to open then give it hit it never gets old hearing it. Going thru a tunnel or underpass with your windows down is the best it sounds amazing. Also if you ever have a intercooler pipe come off you can still drive home.
Blow-thru FTW

Awesome! That's just the encouragement I like to hear; gives me confidence in my decision. You haven't had any problems with turbulence and the MAF have you? I've been told the bov should be about 4-6" away from the MAF and MAF that much away from bends as well. Looks like yours is about 4" away in the picture... I'm still trying to decide where I'm going to re-locate the new bov. What EMS are you running and do you not use a charge pipe or filter?

BlkRS5, I'll let you know but I just got the VIS Evo style cf hood and the side scoop flows directly into the filter which is pretty sweet, so as of right now I'm trying to make the new set up work with it.

I need to adjust the shield a bit since the scoop is sitting right on the edge of the shield propping the hood slightly.

Hahah I know what you mean I was pretty on the fence about it even up to the point where all I had to do was click "submit order". It's super functional and the quality is great though. It's not the easiest to find pictures on other tC's either some pictures were of tC's that weren't even lowered or had distasteful mods which made it look even worse IMO.

Anyways I decided to post in the "Post pics of your CF hood" thread to be more helpful to people searching and trolling.

Actually I had bought mine from Turbo-Kits.com last year, it looks like the exact same set up. How is his manifold so shiny, do you know what he used to polish it? Mine discolored badly and im having a hard time bringing the shine back. What numbers did his setup put out if you recall. I am just shy of 300Whp with 12lbs of boost.

I did the polishing, his mani looked alot like yours when he brought it to me. I use barkeepers friend and a damp rag (alot like comet) to take off most of the discoloration then i move to a polishing compound with mothers power cone.

He made 240hp I think on 8psi (auto tranny).

I take it your car doesnt have a bov?

Thanks for the tips on polishing it.

I do have a bov, I have an HKS SSQV its mounted on the intercooler. Their was a flange on the intercooler to mount it. It was the first I've seen with the bov mounted directly on the intercooler.

XPR I'm currently running an AEM/FIC with a MAF tune due defective MAP sensor. Elevation did the tune and he was surprised how easy and smooth MAF tuning is compared to MAP based tunes. I'm not running any filter on the compressor but I'm looking into fabricating a screen/mesh cover. My setup is intake pipe to intercooler to turbo that's it. Less pipe more spool up quick response. Just need 1 step colder plugs and 700cc injectors and I'll be happy.

Answering your question about turbulence none hear just straight spool up. I still have little issues to work out but that's my kit. I'm sure you'll be fine with the new setup. Like dsil was saying you can mount your bov on the intercooler throttle body side or do it like you were asking about 4-6 inches from the maf. There was a video on youtube of a member showing his new blow-thru setup fabricated from a dezod kit. He also had Tial bov but it was mounted on the innermost part of the intake pipe a little above the bend. Hope this helps you out. I'll try to post a video soon of how it sounds but I'm busy at work.

I love your setup, it's so clean.
Also, just a side note, you might want to check the middle vacuum line on your vac. block, it looks like its about to slip off.

Good looks on the info! I just checked out the vid on youtube of Payne117... he's ecstatic about the new set up haha. I'll have to figure something out since my T'netics kit has the pipe that goes to the throttle body slant and sit significantly lower than yours and Paynes'. I have 130 more miles till I'm done breaking in the clutch and flywheel then I'm going blow through. I can't wait haha!
