I noted that with Nick when I saw it at SNIII....

the ones on the left were accually from a light wire that dragged across it when i was working on my car.....the rest turned a greyish purple from high temp....it was like that for a couple months untill people started touching it resulting in the more bluish marks (and it had been treated and was fine for at least 3 months....)

see how the bottom is greyish, it was purple before....so it made it seem "PATCHY" it was because of heat causing it to turn greyish metallic

It's not inevitable.... reference my pics for a header setup without blueing from oil marks... I used to get comments on it all the time and always asked how I did it... (It took me two header setups to get it right, but if you do it right, you'll get beautiful piping, with a little blueing toward the ports, but it's quite different than the purple oil marks...

But, only is response to the question about getting an EL manifold.... you CAN have a beautiful setup, you just have to be very specific and careful in install to get that golden/blue look. it is possible without oil marks, and I look forward to running one as well... and mine WILL be pretty.

That is a consideration, but I've seen el manifolds that are
immaculate and run on race cars that track consistently...
there is a difference between oil and blueing....

You will always get some blueing on superheated exhaust pieces,
like my street bike, but it's really consistent and still retains a very
olished look, other than the flat purpleish result of the oil marks...

When I get my EL, I'm going to have it ceramic coated soon after... as I'm surprise anyone's stock hood heat shield can stand up the heat of them in the first place...

Ceramic coating the inside of the piping cuts down on possible heat "Bluing" as well, and you can keep that polished look on the outside.... motorcycle guys do that all the time too.

Soon is the word on the EL Manifold for me..... Soon....

I have my manifold cermaic coated silver to match with my polished valve cover....I'm in the process of installing it though, so you'll have to wait. I also powder coated the intercooler pipes to come to a close match with my Black Cherry Pearl tC.

Yeah, we have been trying to get information from our partial sponsors on these gold wheels. Trying to get them at a discounted rate. They look identical to the Advan RG II's, but cheaper. If I can't get them to add it to the discounted pricing offer, then I will just go ahead and get the Advans.

We are also looking in picking up some 19 inch RH J8 Pro's in gold just for shows.
