Default problem after problem after problem...updated

ok let me start from the begining...

i have an 06 tC auto. i bought the TRD s/c from a friend NIB... i also got the auto fit kit and 9.5psi pulley from NST.

after the 12hr install i did i towed it to toyota by my house to get the reflash done. well they didnt have the tool. forgot to mention i called them before i installed the sc to make sure they had it and they said they did... well after a weekend in the shop they called me and said come pick up the car and that they cant do anything for me... so i called every dealership in the city(houston) and finally found 1. well it was across town like almost 30 miles away. i ended up driving my car there slowly without gunning it or anything.. my cel was on... they said it was a faulty o2 sensor(primary precat) they did the reflash and i got a new sensor...

on the way home i started hearing weird noises... well when i got there oil was leaking... turns out my oil pan wasnt sealed right... so i went to toyota the next day and got toyota sealant for oil pans..

i also have a cel

i drove to a car show... i gunned it since i havent been able to since the install...
oil shot out of my dipstick... alot!

i cleaned it up and waited for it to cool down to check oil levels and such. after about an hr the oil level was a little above the second dot in the dipstick. so it seems i must have had too much oil in the car. also i noticed that white smoke comes out of my dipstick.. and still does.

my friend let me use his scanguage and it came up with a p0302 which is misfire in cylinder 2...

i went home to check the spark plugs and they were fine... i know its a misfire for sure tho cause it struggles to go and feels like dying at idle...

some ppl said that it could be the head gasket but there is no oil in my radiator/ coolant resevior and my oil is fine...

does anyone know what could be the problem.

it still has white smoke coming from teh dipstick and its misfiring in cylinder2.

well my motor is spurting oil out of the dipstick, breather, and pcv... and white smoke as well... so im SOL...

motor is gone... cylinders 1, 2 ,3 are 90psi in the compresstion test...

basically leaned out...

ok so i install this crapcharger.. and tehn tow it to toyota in katy... they drive it to the back... took them a weekend to figure out that they dont have a tool to flash it.. told me they cant help me and to pick it up... then they told me its safe for me to go home and to another dealership... so i slowly drve it home and to champion toyota off the gulf freeway... they reflash it... then i drive home and misfires everywhere... and so is oil...
looking for a new motor..

faulty installation could have led to a chipped piston. disconnect the valve cover vent and see if smoke comes out

Have em do a compression test tomorrow when you get it diagnosed...

yeah i would def do a compression test, could be a ring, piston, and just cause a head gasket goes doesn't always mean oil in the coolant, there are a lot of passages and it could be leaking from cylinder to cylinder, meaning no oil in coolant but still a blown gasket.

if a compression test shows 4 normal cylinders request a leakdown test.

just because you plugs look ok doesnt mean they are,try putting the plug from cyl 2 into another hole, see if it starts to missfire on that cyl too,or just replace that one plug and see what happens.

Change the plugs, and verify that your coil packs are all firing. Clear the CEL and see if it comes back aswell.

How much oil did you put in ? Did you install the larger injectors and colder plugs ? Did you check the vac lines Do you have a wideband a/f gauge ? if so what are the a/f's ?

stock trd supercharger NEW... so everything that comes with that... but i changed teh pulley to a nst 9.5psi...

so i talked to the mechanic who has my car and he said sometingcould be installed backwards or wrong... maybe my bpv? i have no idea he said too much air in going into the motor(where the oil is) causing the pressure in my dipstick area...

Installing a bpv backwards would just cause it to be like there is no bpv installed - the air pressure would press on the wrong side of the diaphgram and just cause it not to open. None of the issues you have could be caused by this to my knowledge. Sounds like either a chipped piston or damaged rings - or possibly a cracked ring landing - def do a compression test - had some minor detonation issues when i first built my turbo setup caused by an issue with my fic that would reduce injector outputs by like 50% at random - corrected this once the fic was replaced under warranty. Unfortunately the couple times it ran lean caused some damage to the rings in cyl 1, on compression test all other cyl made 170-175 psi, while cyl 1 registered 155 at max. Luckilly it seems no major damage was done possibly just accelerated ring wear - motor still runs fine just more than usualy blowby - but from what youre describing it ounds like some MAJOR blowby - mine has never blown the oil dipstick out just a small bit of smoke at idle and small noticeable pressure from the dipstick - ill be building the motor soon, so itll take care of it but ive been driving it as is for the past few months and it does fine - dont have all the money in the world like you fawkers on here lol

or you crank it more times than whoever you are comparing it to does. i crank mine like 3 and got 170's, did it 4 and got 180's.

Also not sure what year your tC is but wasnt the compression raised a touch on the 08's? thought i read that somewhere but could be wrong
