i wanted this motor and still do i had talked with you a while ago about it i really wanted to get things moving had i not of started my build while waiting i would have went this route and a good builder is whats its all about most places will assemble a motor for a fair price pay it my shop charges 400 for a short block 1000 for full block thats new valves and all the goodies machining block for sleves and making all mods to fit new componets 400 the thing is motor builds cost money so spend it make it worth it

Understandable. You had to go with what's available at the time. As long as you're getting the work done by a professional, that's all that matters.

Question. Im interested in this, but I wont have the money to get the turbo set up until some time after I do the engine. Is it alright to run this without getting a turbo off the bat? Would it not run properly or will it be great by itself?

You are correct.

Option 1: Build your block, preserving engine VIN#
- No core charge
- You can strip down your motor
- Send us the short block, crank, main caps, factory main studs
- We build and blue-print the block, install the rods, pistons, gap the rings, clearance the bearings, torque everything to spec.
- We send you back your short block
- You put the motor together, cylinder head, timing chain, oil pump, water pump, sensors, etc.
- install the motor
- tune and enjoy

Option 2: Build one of our block, different engine VIN#
- Core charge up front
- We build and blue-print the block, install the rods, pistons, gap the rings, clearance the bearings, torque everything to spec.
- We send you back our short block
- You can strip down your motor
- You swap all the components & accessories from your old motor to the new block.
- install the motor
- Send us your short block, crank, main caps, factory main studs
- When we received your short block, we will inspect it to make sure it's a rebuildable core, i.e. no cracks, holes in block, spun main bearing, or any other types of damage that makes the block unusable. We then refund you the core charge.
- tune and enjoy

Option 3: This is the expensive option of you don't feel like you will be able to assemble the complete motor youself. You can ship us the complete motor and we can strip it down, build it, reassemble everthing and send it back to you. All you will need to do is connect all the sensors and wiring harness, fuel rail, etc. and you're ready to go.

I'm all about Option 3. I want to take it out, send it, get it back, and drop in and tune. Then again, I just might bring you the whole car so you can do it all there with the tune.

That's the route I'd go with when I'm ready for the build.... Driving all the way there and letting Ptuning do all the work, since they are doing the rebuild might as well do everything... Also, I know I will be treated right and that I will be satisfied with there work unlike some shops that just cut corners....
