The fronts are Yokohama Advan RG's 18x10 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Rears are 18x8.5" with stock bolt pattern. We also run the RZ's in the same sizes.

It was setup on a boost by gear correct. What kind of boost settings were set to achieve the run?

After looking at all the time sheets for that day. I would guestimate that, had we had enough time to put together ONE good run, we may have seen an 11.7/11.8 pass at about 135-136MPH.

We ran 12psi, 14psi, 22psi, then max in 4th.
We redline our built motor/head at 8000 rpms.
These 1/4 mile runs ended just below redline in 4th.

Time for the Texas mile, lol.

Gotta love that 35r? Any plans on a big turbo in the future?

Don't think anything bigger than a 35R would be efficient for the Road Course.

We are still waiting for Garrett to release the GT-X version of the 35R. This should give us that extra bit of power without compromising the current overall power band.

Right now we have a ridiculously broad power curve for such a large turbo. The VVTi control on our Haltech ECU also helps to bump up the power curve down low.

I was just thinking about the 2-step setup. With the Ultimate, you dictate how much boost the car is going to create during the 2-step by telling the EMU how much timing to retard/advance. So, if I'm running a boost by gear setup and want to do 10psi in 1st, I wonder if it will conflict with the 2-step setup since they would be separate systems (EBC would be controlling the boost by gear, and EMU would be controlling the 2-step). Of course you don't have that problem with a Standalone. So, when I come to get tuned I guess we will have to figure the timing to see how much boost it will build, and then proceed to setup an EBC with boost by gear.

After reading up on Power Curves and area under the curve, and optimizing it for your particular motorsport activity.....I'm All About A Great Power Curve and the RPM shift points to place me back into the power curve at the optimal position (use to marvel over PEAK dyno numbers).

I'm going down to Savanna, GA to run Robeling Road on the 20th. To bad I STILL won't be boosted, but I'll be soon I hope.

I would put in my bid for a 175mph pass. That's just a guess.

That sounds about right. May be a smidge faster, lol. Good luck on the road course in Georgia. When are you planning on re-boosting?

BTW, give me a ring here at the office whenever you get a chance and I can go over your questions about 2-step and boost by gear.

Travis,

I know you have been in contact with Mr. C, but do give us an advance notice on your time line since a lot of our products are either sold out or very low in inventory. I know you want our Option1 exhaust system, but that is currently sold out. Also, our turbo kits inventory is running low.

However, we will try to do our best to accommodate your request.

Regards,
Mike @ PTUNING

Will do. i don't have any immediate events (road racing) that I will need to attend on boost, so no crunch line for you guys. When I finish the funds build up, I will patiently wait for my moment to shine...I'm hoping that be this month.
