ptuning....turbo kit, etc.... DYNO SHEET pg.39
yea - he took it off before it failed - ha. you guys do understand that unless you are going for a high hp car just to do it ....yea the power matters. but anything over 400whp and you have issues w/ driving it. its just not needed. Things will last. His one rod would have failed at some point - sleeving blocks is only needed in cars in that 500hp+ range ....all the way up to whatever.
That Girls car amde 527whp on stock sleeves and there going to be pushing it to 600whp with stock sleeves, multiple companys say that stock sleeves are infact good for over 600+ with a GOOD tune on the money.

at the max. yes. all depends what they want to do and how long they want to run it. One day you will be running it and the "you are the weakest link" visual will turn on and PooF! ....you are the weakest link. goodbye.

I was meaning what Carbon was saying guys. That just because you have 3, 4, 5, or 600whp....daily driving to the grocery store is not producing X amount of Hp. You drive it normal....you simply drive like every other car does. Not until you hit that boost are you unleashing 500whp.

Agreed...what I am saying here is...pushing a non sleeved engine to 500hp on a continuous basis is....in my opinion is asking for trouble...the limits of the stock components will be found quickly when trying to do so. I had a 542whp tC that I drove on the street....and after having done so...I cant see any reason to have it on the street....the simple fact is that its a front wheel drive car...and that much power is simply not tractable on the street....LSD or not. I am not saying this from an ignorant point of view....I have lived it, and done it...I am also not trying to deter anyone from trying to do it...but a DD 527whp tC, while cool, and unless it see's track duty...is a waste of a lot of money....TRUST ME....I have lived that too.
I <3 70 mph burnouts lol. I know it's pointless but the look on the face of the ricer next to you is priceless. My car won't do it but I know someone who can... Mike, ahem....
