i'm buying streetstar's turbo kit and it comes with an emanage blue and a base map for 5-6psi of boost. my question is, would i even need to hook the emanage up if i only plan on 6lbs of boost? i know the stock ecu can take that, as i've heard from so many people running that same setup.

are there any benefits to hooking the emanage up if i only plan to stay on 6psi? the only reason i ask is because it comes with an 05-06 harness and i'm in an 08...idk if i should shell out for a 07+ harness unless there are clear benefits of doing so.

yes, boosted with some sort of engine management is the way to do it.. the tune he has on the emanage may or may not work with you setup though, each car is different especially that you have the new gen tc.

 

the turbonetics turbo is bigger than a typical stage 0 turbo so you will need management even at that low of boost. there are a couple people selling used harnesses for 07+ on here.

-Better fuel economy
-Ability to make more power with it, than without it.
