Default Radiator fan/Turbo clearance

Okay, so I got into a wreck almost 2 years ago and the crossmember/top of the radiator got pushed back some. Looking at it from the top it doesn't look like it's back that much, but if you look at a certain angle, you can tell it is slanted. I was wondering if anyone that had a turbo (I know most kits vary so I ask the Dezod owners) if they could possibly run outside and measure 2 things. The distance between the block and backside of the plastic radiator housing (on top) and the distance between the turbo and the radiator shroud. I'd really appreciate it if someone could do this, I don't want to spend $5,000 on a turbo kit to find out that it won't fit because I cheaped out 2 years back .

Here's a pic of the 2 distances I was looking for, if anyone didn't get it. It's the 2 red sections, the one isn't very visible but it's is right above the "U" in "turbo".

From the center of the block (just to the left of the center stud) to the top of the radiator, I've got around 11 1/2". From the center of the block (under the headers) to the fan, I've got around 10 1/2".

i dont know if thats enough, but if it isnt just move the fans to the other side of the AC condensor.
the TT kit comes with them and requires you to move them

Gonna have to look into that, might just end up fixing the crossmember.

Post up some pics and how much did you pay for them? If they're reasonable, I'll do this mod instead of replacing the radiator core support...which will end up costing me about $350 .

couldnt you just cut the brackets on top of the radiator, make them shorter, and then weld them back together?
im sure the hoses would stretch that extra inch....
idk just an idea

i pulled my stock fans out last night and it opens up alot of room! I bought 2 fans from Auto zone and i'm mounting them on the front side of the ac condenser.

Yeah, if push comes to shove, just replace the fans to the front side of the rad, and make sure you get pusher fans at that point, and not puller.

Makes me wonder what the reason was behind needing to explain to get push not pull .

Don't most turbo kits come with a new upper radiator hose anyway? Or is that just on the S/C?

I redrilled the holes on the upper rad brackets to help with room.

And ONLY the s/c comes with a new hose. All turbo kits use the stock rad hoses.
