Default rebuild

so im working on rebuilding this turbo and i havnt got far before encountering some problems.
so far i have the compressor off and the hot side too. but i cant take the nut off the shaft!
i keep seeing all these rebuild treads on other sites saying it screws backwards. but i keep trying and this thing is reallly on there!!!
not to mention the hot side has a the bolt half rounded off. its so hard to get a grip on this thing. any suggestions? btw i got the rebuild kit free so i figured id give it a go if all else fails ill pay for some one to do this but i wanted the learning experience. any help would be awsome.

Every turbo ive ever worked with, the compressor nut is left hand thread - so make sure you're turning clockwise to loosen instead of counter-clockwise. Also its normal for the turbine side "bolt" to be rounded - this is how the turbo is balanced.

Also after completing your rebuild I highly recommend taking the assembled CHRA with compressor wheel and turbine wheel/shaft to be rebalanced. Just think of it this way - your tires need to be balanced and these ONLY turn at several thousand rpm - a turbo however can spin as fast as 80k-100k rpm so precision balancing of all the rotating components is extremely crucial. Most shops will only charge $50-60 or less for this btw
