Default Rebuilt Turbos

I was looking around on the internet for some good deals on turbos the best i have seen so far is treadstone.com .48 turbotechnics T3 4 bolt for $594.

Then i stumbled across this website www.usedturbos.net they have a bunch of re built turbos for excellent prices i was looking at this one in particular

Garrett V-Trim TO4B, T3 0.48 a/r 4bolt http://usedturbos.net/Catalog/450-60...let-475hp.html

it fits all my specs, (T3 4 bolt, 0.48a/r) but i don't want to waste money on a turbo that going to brake down on me in the not to distant future.

What are you guys thoughts, i know a turbo is something that you should defiantly not skimp on the website seems to have a lot of rebuilt turbos so i would imagine they do have the tools to get the job done right.

Any one bought , heard anything about this company, or any ideas on this subject.

B housing turbos have a narrow compressor map compared to an E cover turbo. That doesn't mean that your not going to make some decent power with a B housing, trust me I'm currently using a Garrett T3/T4b w/ an 82ar turbin housing. However I'd like to go to an E housing or something larger w/ a smaller ar turbin housing. This is just me but I'd go with a middle size turbin housing on a B compressor equipped turbo. That will just give you a tad bit more bang for the buck, though it all depends on your goals and what ya got in your wallet.
Ther is nothing really wrong with a rebuilt turbo as long as it's done correctly using quality components. It's always nicer to get new though. If your set on a B turbo take a look at Turbos direct (got min for $650 I think new). Figure out what you want as far as goals and shop around. I will say that for the money I spent I could have gotten a Garrett 60-1 (flows alot more air) but I'm stuck with a b cover cause of my manifold. Good luck to ya!

Some good info I mainly want my car to have good reponse with not to high numbers in terms of HP probably 250 - 300 whp would be real nice.
What manifold you using?
I am kind of worried about fitment with a larger turbo I have a treadstone style exhaust and it will be tight

Thnx but yeah with the goals you have mentioned you shouldn't have a problem with any run of the mill hybrid turbo, only thing to worry about is fitment. Good luck to ya on your quest.
