Road & Track Reviews the S/C TC
It's on page 120 of Jan 06
The article is very short and the only review given other than performance figures are that "Spinning the TC's front wheels has never been so easy" and "the blown engine has an especially sweet midrange pull that makes passing at highway speeds a breeze." Oh yeah and it needs an LSD
Here are the figures: note that the SC TC has 18s and the stock had 17s
Stock VS SC
0-60 7.4 / 6.9
0-100 19.7 / 17.1
1/4 mile 15.6@89.9mph / 15.1@94mph
Top Speed 127 / 127
Braking from 60 126 / 129
braking from 80 225 / 227
Skidpad .82g / .84g
Slalom 64.0mph / 65.0mph
Their mpg 23.8mpg / est 19mpg
hmmm...makes me think the strip was wet or somthing
oh well, interesting though...discuss you thoughts

I get R&T too.
I especially like this:
"With the standard pulley, the centrifugal blower - a TRD design built by Vortech - makes 7 psi of boost, a level that doesn't necessitate an intercooler."
Not after ZPI does their magic
Oh, the test numbers were done with the 18" factory option and body kit. (thus why braking, skidpad, etc. changed) i bet with the 17" stockers, it's a tad faster.

Though I have to admit the 17.1sec 0-100 time is much improved, shaving off 2.6sec isn't bad...I really expected it to "smoke" the new SI (which R&T reports 0-100 in 16.8sec. The 0-60 time should not bother anyone too much once you remember that the TC (like the SI) must shift twice before that 60mph mark is hit. But still, ~220hp-with torque- should be more than enough to outrun the Honda.

reaction times dont play a part in your et
just becouse they can react fast doesnt meen they can launch a car they have only driven 2 times they dont get enough time to build up a technique

Still nice to have an official review though, I'm gonna have to look for the magazine.
