Here's the deal ladies and gent's. I just purchased a tc and im having some issues of getting more power. Don't get me wrong them bastards are quick at a dead stop, but im greedy and need more power.
Im thinking about getting the greddy turbocharger. I am disappointed with the numbers that the TRD supercharger produces. Now you all know that i will be safe if i get the TRD supercharger because its made by Toyota. From doing research i have found that the turbocharger has better numbers than the TRD supercharger.
Another bad thing is that the cost for both of them is the same to buy and to install. I don't have enough money to waste and i really can't mess this up. I really would like to do it the right way the first time.
The tc has a bigger engine compared to the si but i don't wanna be like everyone and supe up a honda. Im trying to represent if you know what im sayin. What do you guys think would be better to install in the long run. The dealership tells me the TRD supercharger and the tunning shops around here all tell me to get a turbocharger.

The turbo will make more power and a quicker car, but your engine/powertrain warranty will be gone. The supercharger will make less power, but will keep your warranty. Also several members have had trouble with the bearings failing in the supercharger. Props to you for not wanting to toy with a Honda
If you dont' have the money to spare, don't get the turbo. You have to pay to play, and it WILL end up costing you.
If you do the supercharger, and get it from the dealership, you will have the full warantee, so if something does go wrong, it doesnt' come out of your pocket.
You can even get ZPIs stage 0 pully for a few more horses, and if you break something, it only takes 5 minutes to put the stock one back an no one is the wiser, warantee wise!

If you wanna stay n/a and mild, yor basic i.h.e. can get you moving a little bit faster, a very good suspension setup will make u feel faster and more confident ( in cornering) and it will be fun! With those mods i was able to pull a 14.9 1/4 mile, but was only able to do it once
, but more consistently 15.2-15.0, and that is pretty quick n/a. But there is gonna be the hunger for more power so f/i will be faster, but it is up 2 you. You have to consider if you want to keep your warranty, how much money you are willing to spend, and if you go f/i, you have got to be committed and on top of things with your car. So it all comes down to what you want. Which ever route you take have fun with it, hell that is why we modify or upgrade our cars right!
If you want to keep your warranty, TRD Supercharger.
If you don't care about warranty, Turbo.
S/C tCs have pottential too though, don't rule it out. My tC is plenty quick with my set-up, and still has many more mods to come.

^ That pretty much sums it up perfectly.
The supercharger makes good power and gives you a nice warranty. You can also add a few things here and there to up the boost a little bit or get your car a little faster.
The turbo systems out now can make lots of power but they all require supporting mods and tuning. They also void the warranty.
You have to decide what is important for your needs.

And jinuinjay, if you have just enough money to do the install with no or little extra, stay away from F/I. Even with the supercharger, things have been known to go wrong. Save up and do it the right way. Don't go F/I until you have an abundance of money where you can pay for the parts, install, and have extra left over incase something goes wrong down the road.

i/h/e = Intake/header/exhaust (power mods that keep the endine natually aspirated)
