Default Round 2, Been a long time....

So here's the story. I owned an 06 black tC which was my first true tuning experience into the scene, not counting bolt on mods I did with Hondas through out high school ect. I blew 2 TRD superchargers, first the oil seal, 2nd a bearing which screwed up the engine. After that I bought a new ECU (TRD relash couldn't be undone) and turbocharged it with a Dezod sig kit.

All and all it was great times, I got rid of the car for a different type of platform, took a year away from tuning and got back into it. While my hobby is tracking and drag racing it leaves driving a crappy everyday car. I'm dying to fill the void by getting a tC again. Getting ready to pick up an un-modded RS2.0 at this time. I only want to clean it up, lower it ect, and bolt a turbo it to it. Not planing at all to build it. Of course the wear and tear will catch up but I'll deal with that then. The turbo will be done right away. I have serious A.D.D. for slow cars.

My question to all of you is a good, strong, reliable kit. I've searched for the past two hours and found some great stuff. Just looking for that a plus kit for small shows and of couse the go... Last I was on here Turbotoyotas was up and coming. Sound Performance is always top choice from my most recent meets with them. Probably between those two. Any one care to chime in and drop some opinions on their setups. Thanks

Sadly the kit and a lot of my old parts now belong to a good friend who ditched his t-netics kit for mine.

why not go with dezod again? their prices are pretty damm good considering their reliability and customer support!

turbotoyotas makes awesome kits! both for show and go, unfortunately it might take a long time to get your kit (close to a year or more for some) or you might get it within a couple of months, who knows!

and then there's Ptuning, the sickest kit ive seen aside from some custom setups, comes with absoutely everything and then some, and even comes pre-tuned, meaning you wont have to look for a tuner unless you really wanted the few extra ponies! it does come with a steep price tag

so take your pic, and good luck!

Nothing wrong with Dezod, great costumer service, great product, just want to change it up. I'll research Ptuning. So I'm guessing not too many people here are running the SP kit. It's too bad they don't have the extra help to push their product as well as others who have made a name for themselves with the Scion and the community.

Was basically thinking those two kits because of the awesome manifolds and efficient power numbers. I know very few companies have contributed as much as Dezod.

But looking back on the days, man... I took for granted the amount of room the tC has to work with. I never had to drop anything to bolt up a turbo or to an exhaust manifold. And don't get me started about how much abuse these engines handle boosted. The compession ratio is so friendly for an N/A production car looking for after market boost.

Go sound performance. I've had mine since january 07 and only had the exhaust seal go bad twice, mainly due to the wastgate dumptube dumping back into the exhaust so close to the manifold. their new kit has open dump and when i get mine back, it will be also. I have a stock motor, and turboed from 35k up to 66k now. so far no engine problems. i've been at 10 psi until i jumped to 12psi spring before i sent the turbo off. making around 310+whp. I bought the kit when it was $5300 and not it's a lot cheaper. I think its worth it.
