Running lean?
Is it true that if you put a cold air intake you will run lean with the supercharger? Does it run lean with a header? I've been searching and no definite proof, just one. I don't have the supercharger yet, but I already have a header and intake.
okay, here is the deal, if the piping for the intake is greater then the diameter of the MAF sensor, then you will run lean, because a greater volume of air is entering the engine then the MAF sensor is aware of.
so if the intake piping is the same diameter, then no, it won't run lean.
the monster motorworks/weapon-r intake has this problem with the supercharger, so it needs tuning.
a header won't make you run lean either.

usually the car compensates by adding fuel.. it might run a lil lean but i dont think it that much.. thats true though with a bigger intake pipe that the maf wont read right especially on 07 up tc where the maf is more sensitive
