Default Runs lean

Ok so all of a sudden the cap is running lean sometimes it has a cel sometimes it doesn't it acts like its misfiring but when I go check the codes only codes I pull are 2 for a bad gas cap and one for the crank position sensor but I've has the crank position sensor code since I went on boost 2 years ago and the cars never done this. It just runs lean ill shut it off in the middle of driving and turn it right back on and it will run file foe 3min n same thing all over again its horrbile to drive. Yes my fic pnp harness has the resistor mods as well tried to change plugs nothing made sure all couplers n vac lines are secure and they are car idles fine n pulls 22 vac on idle 10vac cruising which is what its always done plz help so I can get this fixed cuz I hate driving right now thanks guys

sound like the purge control valve is stuck open and your sucking in more evap then normal. its the valve that used to be on your intake. has a green cap on it, lines goes to the throttle that you have probable t in to to run your boost and bov.

That's the little sensor correct? the one that I tapped the vaccume source for but I've had that tapped there for 2 years since I first went on boost. Like it bucks like a misfire but there's no misfire codes or anything nothing has changed on the car not even the map...

did you add a resistor? is it a boomslang harness or aem harness? have you checked that you are getting 2.2k ohms through the resistor?

may need to replace the gas cap, mine after a while didnt seal properly.

tapping off the vsv for gauges or fic will cause some slight issues at idle, the vsv will be opening and closing rapidly and make your gauges flutter as well as give the map sensor on the fic false readings.

the "misfire" is associated with the crank code.

The resistor was in the harness I bought off of speedintc cuz my harness broke and the car was running fine until the other day. The sensor I know messes with the gauges a bit no idle isssues though it flips between 22 n 20 vac cuz of where its tapped the gas cap meehhh I don't think it cld be having to much effect cld it its been there for a long time as well. And yeah so what do do about the crank sensor issue? And what's causing it to run lean is aso a bigger concern?
