S/C Boost Level when accelerating?
I know there are going to be a dozen people saying "we already talked about this" - but please help myself and some others out.
How easy can you accelerate to either not boost or boost very low?
I am asking this is because I am trying to find out how low my gas mileage is going to go down if i get the S/C. I tend to drive harder then some people. Before I kept track how I shift when im driving easy and its around 3,200 (right where that sweet spot is ... for me anyway).
Can someone help so I can stop thinking about this?

U only boost at WOT. You could half throttle it and it feels pretty nice! Or you could go 3/4th and be at maybe 1 or 2 psi. If you are in second and just floor it at like 3 your only gonna be at arounf 3 or 4 psi. Same with third geat if u floor it at 3, it will be a 2 or 3 psi. I hope this is what u wanted to hear. Let me know if you want more info.
no its centrifugal so boost goes up with rpm's.
Believe me, i am in vac like all the time when driving to school or work or whatever. Your still boosting air, its just not gonna read it cuz its not open throttle. I think it only reads it in open throttle for a reason, but i could be wrong. Well thats what i get for readings on my gauge which is an autometer mechanical C2 boost w/ vac.
btw at hard wot you'll go to 9 psi the drop to like 5-6psi and go back up and then back to 5-6psi again through all the gears. thats if u have the 9psi pulley like i do.

Nice - mine is going to stay stock .... im keepin the warranty eventhough I wish I could just say screw it. So if i stay out of boost .... some people say the gas mileage gets better?
gas mileage goes down when u go up in boost. I could get around 240-250 on a full tank with the 7psi pulley on. Now i get like 220 on a full tank with the 9psi pulley. thats all city driving though. I dont get on the highway to often.
i wish! Your still spinning the supercharger pulley which adds more air than stock. Alot more, so the tune on it has it so you add more fuel to compensate, and blah blah. So yea you still use a good amount of fuel. Premium fuel i might add!
what the?! I drive like an ___ all the time and I still get around 22mpg (see setup below)...
Also when Im cruising to work on the hwy doing ~70 my gauge reads 0psi and ~3200rpms but as soon as I touch the pedal the slightest bit I go straight to 2psi and go up from there.

I'd say it is a pretty smooth transition for boost; it just pulls stronger as the R's go up. The mileage will drop a bit even staying out of the gas; as they do install different injectors with the sc. Our day-to-day driving dropped maybe 2-3 ( avg 23-25 now that winter is over ); it can go worse if you are "enjoying" the boost, we've gone down to about 22; and at the other end of the scale, with hiway driving and reasonable acceleration, I just pulled 28 on the last tank ( yep-- premium at 3.10+ so it's nice once in awhile to get decent mileage ).
But remember this--you don't put on a sc or turbo for fuel economy; enjoy ( legally of course... ) the investment. Heck, many old school v8's ran in the 14 sec range, and got a lot less for fuel economy, so this isn't really that bad...
