umm I have like 10k maybe?

list of issues....

1. Dealership didn't clamp anything, blew off like 5 lines.
2. Car started to blow white smoke when shifting above 5.5k (problem is still not fixed)
3. Car is now eating 2 qts of oil and 8 oz of coolant every week or so (dealership can't find the problem doing an oil consumption test as we speak) no leaks, no compression drop nothing.
4. The whine of the s/c has changed thier was a build up of what seemed to be some kinda of metal/plastic shavings in the oil supply line to the s/c.
5. dealerships know nothing on how the s/c should properly work.. lol

O yeah forgot to add I have gone threw 3 sets of catalytic converters as well.

Other than this no real problems, granted I'm not a stock s/c either

I had a stock s/c. Got 14,000 miles out of the first one. Had it replaced under warranty at the dealership when the bearings went out. Had the second one for 6,000 miles without problems before trading in the car.

Supercharged at 3000ish miles. Replaced it at 15000 miles. Sitting around 20,000 miles on the car now. No issues so far with this one.

I have about 12k or so on it. I don't really beat on it but its seen its fair share of abuse. Ive driven trips of 5-6 hrs straight doing a constant 80-90mph and its been holding up nice. I change the oil every 4-5k miles. On a normal day i shift around 3-3.5k rpm.

My thoughts exactly. It has major issues. Atleast dealers have been good about making things right.

Ehh I wouldn't really consider it a major issue, I mean look at folks with turbos, hell my Evo is in the shop more than my tC, anytime you boost you WILL ALWAYS HAVE ISSUES. Then again the org. asked about any issues.. so there will be many posts about issues lol.

Nomatter how you look at it - the new s/c'grs are better then the ones that first came out. One of the main reasons is the mount (its stronger) - Ide put money on it that they also made some internal changes that they won't admit. ....just like how they didn't admit the original mount was bad but didnt recall them.

How do you not see a supercharger breaking as a major issue? Doesnt get more major than that.

50k on my SC. After 22k I had a broken bracket and bad idler pulley. Was replaces and around 45k the belt broke and I had 2 seized pulleys (main drive and idler) since then everything has worked perfectly. BTW, Im on the same SC since I bought the car!

8k miles on one sc-during install, they didn't add coolant. that sc leaked & sprayed oil everywhere, it was replaced. the 2nd sc i'm on right now is at like 30k miles & is also leaking-not bad though. just a little oil coming out of the edges of the actual sc. nothing leaking or anything. gonna have them take a look at it soon. not happy with the toyota service people though-actually, it's more like i friggin hate them.

^ sounds like the dealer is your problem because that is surely 100% NOT normal to get 2 in a row like that

my boy works at the dealership, but their service dept sux *** all day long-the men and women. they broke my the remote for my alarm too and told me that it was like that. i brought it in cuz of the coolant thing, they had me sit there for 2 hours, sent me out and down the block, i turned right around because the temp gauge started to pin on hot. oh yeah-they also broke the reverse light sensor on the car when they installed the sc so my reverse lights don't work either. the worst part is that they didn't even install the that stupid tamper proof cap on the sc either when they installed it and no other toyota dealer wants to mess with the thing or give me warranty-and oh yeah-they're like 30 miles away and there are 8 dealerships closer then them. i just got the car there, so i ordered the sc with my car. they charged me like almost $1000 to install. ***********

we know for a fact that there are less problems w/ the second generation nomatter how you look at it. I have an 05 so its a nobrainer w/ the cost of the s/c now ....
