Default safc2 or e manage w/ECU

anyone know if the ECU relearns itself and u would have to tune ur car again.(people with turbo).....did some research and found out that most of the newer car have a ECU that over time it would go back to stock setting.

The E-manage works just fine with the stock ECU.. Been running it for quite some time now.

Either one will work fine with our ECU but...

The stock ECU is relearning. There is no way around that part. Anything below 80% throttle the ECU will control. There are almost zero devices out there that can control that part.

Between the Emanage and SAFC... Go with the Emanage. The SAFC is definately easier to tune for fuel, because you dont need a computer or E01 boost controller, but it's more simple. You can't change your fuel tune with different boost levels, you need to always re-tune the entire thing. It also won't do ignition timing, which is a MUST for anything over 8psi if you want your motor to last. The Emanage is definately a bit more complicated but has more features. You can tune fuel and ignition, and use signals such as TPS, MAF, and MAP. It's a very powerful unit if you do it right.

We're still working on our new EMS but have made some recent HUGE developments. So in the meantime, play it safe and go for an Emanage.

yea, id definitely go with the emanage over the S-AFC II...its a half a$$ way of tuning if you ask me, plus I think it can only plot 16 tuneable fuel points...8 low and 8 high.

Hey Joe, have you done a TRD reflash and the e-manage together? I talked to my local dealer about doing the reflash and they said they would and I will still be using my SAFC-II for the extra fuel.

typical dealer's responses. I guess technicallly is possible but who has the time and knowledge to do the whole thing.

its definitely possible...why wouldnt it...I am using the TRD reflash and a Unichip to clean up the A/F ratios and also to bump timing with my Spearco Water/Meth injection kit. The reflash is just an ECU burn obviously and the piggyback will just be altering the reflash map.

yea i'm just a little worried for when i do it, since the dealer is about 20ish miles from the dyno. not sure if i could retune the safc at the dealer to compensate the change. any ideas on that?

I dunno, I think if your going straight to the dyno from the dealer you should be alright...the reflash is super rich so if your worried about it leaning out it shouldnt be an issue. I got a good idea, just dont shift past like 4000RPMs cause doesnt the S AFC only control the fuel points after that anyway? Plus you will only hit about 1 psi at that rpm range if you are using the stock diverter valve
