not sure. but i'd assume with proper equipment and good tune, 6-7 psi, like the trd supercharger.

make sure you get a tranny cooler, and i'd also suggest ZPI's valve body upgrade, I currently run a stage 0 on my auto, runs like a champ

rather than making your own i'd recommend a kit mostly if you want a reliable.

There is a lot to go into an automatic kit so i'd just buy one from zpi. They're a great company.

This question has been asked many times, the answer is always the same "it's all about the proper tuning". I wouldn't go over 10psi with stock internals. At least not as a DD. My question is if you wanted a sporty quick car, why did you get an auto? Turbo manual car is much more fun than an auto. Auto's do hold boost better though so speedwise you might even be faster than a manual. But you won't feel the speed as much. A friend of mine has an auto 3rd gen TL, and that car is fun for about half an hour and then it gets boring. Auto+fwd=boring. Just swap your scion for a manual.

read the "turbocharging your a/t" sticky, it'll answer all your questions.

yeah, totally sucks that we can just upgrade a measily clutch to hold more power while you guys get cool stuff like tranny coolers and valve body upgrades

only a sucker would buy a car without a clutch jk

no, you have a torque convertor, planetary gears, and a stall convertor. no clutches. you have ECT or something like that. electronically controlled transmission. only high-end autos like bmw's and benz's and porsches and audis have automatic trannys with an automated clutch. i think they are hydralyically controlled.

yeah, if the tranny can hold it, just wait for the axles to snap! should be quite a show, can't wait to see the video!

Turbo-/supercharging an auto is like tipping a waitress for bad service. Sure, it can be done, but why pay more for less? j/k guys

It can be done. I would try working with some of the manufacturers that have come out with kits for the auto, even if you use them as a base, there is quite a bit of knowledge you can gain.

I have an auto tC, boosted with the Dezod kit and have about 20k miles on the car since I installed it last summer.
