WOW... still wont come off??? strange is the key that's in the key way look square still? thats weird the heat should have expanded the metal enough for it to just slide off..

hhmm... is the key way still square? if not it could be that the key is wedged.. so with the pulley puller does it just pop off the pulley?

i know on the 05's the dealerships assembled the shafts so im wondering if maybe that put some sort of sealant on the shaft before the pulley was installed.

wow.. you got me stumped.. I have never seen one that would not just slide off on its own or with a little heat applied.. if you want you can send it to me here at Vortech and I'll try and get it off for you.

Even if it was sealed on, heat usually softens adhesives. Unless they were messing with you and used some sort of high-temp two part epoxy. Still no luck huh?

i agree... even the pulley puller should have gotten it off... the units that Vortech assembled do not have any sealer of any kind between the shaft and the pulley itself. the only sealant we used is on the pulley bolt itself we put blue loctite on it to keep it from backing out.. but thats about

Just leave the pulley on there for now man, when you get the new shaft you can beat the pulley without worrying about damaging things or just cut it off. You'll have a new shaft and the 9.5psi pulley anway. Unless it won't cost you much to get it off, try to get one of your buddies to use a real torch on it, the blow torch sucks, aceteline should do the trick.

maybe some WD-40? Out of curiousity, what is a pulley puller? It's not a bearing press I assume? some kind of shop tool?

it has hooks that grab the back of the pulley and a bolt in the center and as u tighten the bolt on the loosened bolt on the pulley it pulls it off, and i even tried pb blaster which is better than wd 40...

And when i get the new shaft in i will be sending the sc'r down to vortech and they are gonna help me out and swap the shaft and pulley...
