scion tc turbo take off trouble.
i have a turbo tc, i raced at the track last week i had trouble taking off at the line, my first gear would keep peeling out and second gear would also do the same. anybody got any tips on taking off.
first, get proper racing tires because regular tires will just slip through the first 2 gears...then mess around and find the perfect launching RPM area (revving up to a particular RPM whilst still holding in the clutch and then releasing the clutch and taking off) I don't know about tC's because i havent driven in a turbo'd tC, but sometimes in my eclipse, i would have to launch in second gear...but it doesn't really give you optimum launch times or total times

Better tires, and lighter throttle under you get moving... I have a similiar problem, but almost always don't mash 1st and use 2nd for slamming the pedal... get better traction that way.
