The LSD is one nice addition. Becides taking off .... its nice going around bends or when driving in heavy rain. If you hit a puddle of water the car still wants to go strait instead of turn once the right front doesnt have traction

Thats what I did mean. I want to see the performance low in the rpms in second. If you slam into second from first ... he will have no traction at all.

Now launching from second ..... He honestly might not have a problem doing that if he has a light flywheel. Im not sure how good of an idea it is but I did it a few days ago by mistake and the light flywheel just allowed me to take off clean.

Light flywheel or not. Cruising in 2nd gear and then punching it, my wheels howl like Banshee luring sailors into seduction...

^ yea i feel that. Same with me depending how I punch it. I bet once u hit boost its all over though.

But - im saying ... I dont know if you are stopped and you dump it in second ...how would that react? I dont think its good for the car ..but is it really that bad? Thats what I was saying about the light weight flywheel ... because of that my car took off in second pretty decent a few days ago (I just wasnt paying attention ...i wasnt trying to do it).

with the turbo kit from a dead stop if you use 2nd to take off you will have a better take off then first, but i dont think its good for the tranny. ive personally done this with better results, but i dont think i would do it again. the turbo generates enough torque to still burn them easily from a dead stop in second.

He should post his torque in the topic also ... i want to hear more about his car ... TALK TALK TALK! you can't just post on a forum and show everybody how much of a kick ___ car you have ....then not post about it. j/k

That ECU he used is pretty wild .... how it changes its tune depending on the temp and altitude

Well, if you want to take one for the team and try it out a few times at the drag stip or something, that would be cool.

I'm on the second tranny right now to be even "testing" stuff out, so I'll just take your word for it...

Yeah, the Banshee is hard to fight off... Especially when you combine that with an open WG...

i can launch in 2nd with my NA stock motor tc........in the snow!

but yeah, on dry pavement, if you have the tq, u can launch in 2nd.....murder on your clutch though.

i think its funny how its just now that all the FI guys are starting to realize how pointless it is to have 300+whp in a FWD street car. fun from a roll though.... haha.

my clutch is rated a hell of a lot higher then what im running ...so it should be ok. I could give it a try but i hate messing around w/ my car ....doing things that shouldnt be done - it was very odd having a lot longer first gear (taking off in second) ... it actually fealt pretty cool not having to shift in a second

Not pointless when you know how to drive it... Plan on pushing 430-450whp out of ours and then be done as far as HP goes.

Maybe a comparison at the drag track would be ideal. See what your time difference is between the two launches.

More Boost One needs Not. Better driving Skill a must.
Excellent and with your permission, I WILL add it to my sig.

I am practicing at 15 pounds, I'm not going to run hotter until I get better. Also, I have more programming to do to the boost controller to help get power to the ground. Not tuning for more than 22 until I get an equal length manifold, this log style will kill the turbo.

I also have some more rubber coming in a couple of weeks. I'm inspired by you guys in the 12's and I will get there.

Next time at the track I'll get some inside video for you. Probably June 5.

Next mod: 3" turbo back exhaust.

about that next mod. you are allready making plenty of power. lets make your new focus getting it to the ground. may i suggest some upgraded axles, so you can properly launch that rocket past 12's, and into outer space.
