This week I haven't really made anything new to the car. . On Monday I was ready install the other fuel pump in the tank so I removed the fuel pump unit from the car and dissasemble it to make way for the two Walbro's. This is the time when I realized the second fuel pump is nowhere to be found . Turns out that ScionGT35R came on the weekend to work on the car and to bring some parts but he forgot about the fuel pump and took it back to his home again!!!!! . Sadly I had to re-install everything as it was before. .
I changed the engine oil and filter yesterday and cleaned the engine bay a little. I also took the car for a spin and returned home.

The engine makes a small "tapping" noise that I have been trying to solve but I have narrowed it to the piston pins. On some cars they seem to sound a little bit and it is a more common occurence on engines on which the connecting rods don't have the oil hole that the OEM rods have. The K1 rods don't have them so I figure it is something we will have to live with.

There is some rattling coming from the exhaust some times so I will try to add some hangers tomorow to make it go away.

Well...... thats the update for now folks!!

why cant you install 1 walboro in tank? the way you said that makes it sound like you can only install 2 in the tank... is that the case?

As jwaggz82 said you can install one Walbro in the tank. The maximum power that can be safely handled by one Walbro is +500HP!! We are shooting for close to 600HP and I know for a fact that I will need a bigger pump but for the cheap cost of Walbro pumps it is a lot cheaper to install 2 Walbros in the tank than it is to install an Aeromotive A1000 series pump and its associated hardware.

After removing the fuel pump unit last Monday I think it won't be hard to fit them both inside of it while keeping the fuel level sending unit untouched.
The pumps install will be done next week as I just encountered something very interesting (for lack of words) happen in the car .

If ScionGT35R doesn't post about it I will do it tomorrow along with some interesting (once again for lack of words) pictures!!!

COME ON!!!! Don't do that. I'm not gonna sleep now tonight. Just tell me it has nothing to do with the rods. I know Pito said some kind of sound most of been coming from the rods and thought it was normal.
