Sleeves are a must then, they can take 70psi. With all the head components, might as well rev it to 7500rpm daily as well... :D

Good luck man!

AEBS makes some as well, but im sure they are more expensive. I believe GoldenEagle charges $950 for the service.

If yours is damaged.. you could always detune it, take it easy on it, purchase a salvaged short block for around $1000, sleeve it for another grand, find yourself some good rods and pistons.. probably leave the stock crank if it is in good shape.. get the head worked on (get a salvaged one if you only get the short block) and then swap it out. You could probably have one hell of a strong new block and head for around $3000 I am guessing (this is a very rough estimate, and assuming you do all the R&R and assembly). Then, after a bit, get your old one cleaned up and rebuilt and sell it.. or keep it.

As for the A/F on 13psi I was still at 10 at WOT so I was still rich.
Thats wild my afr goes past 11.5 after 9.5psi. Good luck with the build. Get in touch with turbocustoms if you need help. He can build your engine for you.

I swear, no one ever listens to the kid who has 6 years in the aftermarket industry and is going to UTI.

yeah...so what is weird about the last few posts is that all I can think of when people say UTI is what my cat had which cost a few hundred dollars in vetrinarian bills.

For those less informed, UTI = Urinary Tract Infection

Its not that no one listens. But there are many other things that could have been wrong. And the bubbles in the coolant and coolant in the oil are very very pinpointed tests for a blown headgasket. You can see neither of the two and still have a blown head gasket. For either concern (head gasket or rings) a compression/leakdown test should be performed. That is the only way to know if that is the cause.. then you can start tearing down to see which of the two it is. I have also seen a poorly ventilated crankcase appear to be building pressure (in the way he described) as well.

Dont take it like no-one is listening to you. Just people with experience offering other alternatives and other things to check. Its always best to check the simpler things and do some complete troubleshooting before tearing down anything. That is all we are trying to point out.

it just i feel as if some people don't give me any credit when i auctally make an intelligent post that is auctally pertaining to the issue at hand.

i understand that you and others have a bit more experience than me, which i infact have learned off you guys as well, but sometimes i dont even know why i bother inputting my knowledge into a topic that i sort of know stuff about.

reguardless, Nu_ERA, bro i seriously hope you get your ride up and running good.

So far AZ is -2 on turbo cars

and has anyone noticed our cars have broken down right when our summer has started?

I appreciate all the help and it is ironic how the summer hits and our cars are down for the count... maybe heat the factor???

Heat is always a factor on a turbo'd car. But for the heat to play a factor in our problems, I don't know if you could even scientifically incorporate ambient heat to your problem or mine

Its ok man, we'll get through this! Have faith bro.
