I had an issue with the oil return line not flowing correctly on my eclipse and it had a thick white smoke from the oil heating in the turbo then going out the exhaust. It wasn't burning it in the engine just boiling it in the turbo and leaking threw the seals to the exhaust turbine. Check and make sure your flowing good no kinks or sharp turns. I had the location of the oil pan plug moved and it stopped all the white smoke after that....

Pretty sure it is the Engine because the "blow by" is a huge amount that blows white smoke through the engine cap (when opened) the dipstick, exhaust and even the turbo housing!! I let it idle for a minute and the Check engine light came on and smoke did not go away. I know I am burning oil cause I only had about half the amount of oil required (according to the dipstick)

Ive got about 1,000 on my turbo now. But I dont boost often. 500 of the highway miles. But mine went on at 37,000 miles.

If it were my car I would of at least waited till 3,000 miles to install the turbo. I hope you get the problem worked out soon!!! Any plans on ripping it apart to find the peoblem or taking it to a shop?

wow.... that was really early to put a turbo on.

how often did you go into boost? i would hope not every single day and every single shift. if so, that is really not good especally running high boost all the time

I know I never really take it to high boost unless im on the highway then i cool off for a couple days, etc etc.

I think the 13psi was a little much on the stock turbonetics tune. Shouldve iron'd it out with a nice custom 13psi tune.

Cool, well here is a site for build up parts..
http://www.raceeng.com/searchadv.asp...x=0&submit.y=0

Also search 2AZFE for Pistons/Rods.. That site has great prices, Ive seen Sponsers on here charge double what you can buy em for, from that site.

Keep in mind that all pistons are not the same. I sell pistons taylor made to each iindividual's wants and needs for 700 a set. They however are cut from one piece billet steel, have temp coated tops and sides, have milled sideskirts for lower rotational mass, and come with wrist pins, locks, and rings. I know they are expensive and that there are other options out there that are quite a bit cheaper, BUT I feel that these are some of the most advanced pistons on the market at this time.

The Race Engineering pistons are nice units though. They seem to have good build quality and come at an affordable price. I have no doubt they will hold some power and would be a great choice for anyone on a budget build. (which most of us are, lol )
