Default Sound Performance kit received!

Finally after much time and waiting, I have received most of my SP turbo kit. For those guys that have this kit I'd like to get some tips and ideas for installation. I'm working with Tim on Monday about the rest of the backordered parts and the stuff that Mike left out of my kit when he decided to jump ship, aka Parts_Pimp. So after ordering it 3- months ago, It's mostly here. Tim has been a big help cleaning up the mess and I give a big congrats to him and the rest of the Sound Performance team.

Now, on with the questions:

1. On the turbo, there are the two other holes at the bearing. I'm guessing for water cooling?? Or do you guys cap them off?

2. Does your ECU wiring have the resistor on Plug A, Second Row from bottom, third wire (blue) and did they say why it needed it?

3. Can I have some pics of the piping to get an idea of putting it together?

That's all I can think of at the moment. Thanks! I'll try to get some pics asap of it in pieces.

Hey CONGRATS on the kit. Im glad to see that there are some other people out there who have the SP kit.

As for Parts_Pimp....yeah he decided to leave SP and im sure he forgot to get a lot of things for your kit. I was at the shop when i saw TIM packaging up your kit. You got the SSQV BOV right?

Anyway if there is anything that i can help you with i will try my best. Im not a pro YET but i do know somethings and not only that i have had this kit now for about 8 months. My car was the guinea PIG.

Here is one pic. Ill try to get more later to help you. The assembly on the kit is pretty easy except for the wiring of the SAFC. Did you go with the SAFC?

HERE IS PIC

Sorry i cant find anymore pics of the kit being assembled. There used to be a lot but because the post are so old they no longer show. Ill try to take some of my kit when i do my tranny fluid change.

i did get the safc thats why i had the resistor question. i bought the pnp harness from boomslang.us and it works so far, it powered up and i set some parameters. thought i did not run the engine, it seemed functional. I don't know what the resistor is for. Yea, there was a ton of small but important things left out; gaskets, nuts/bolts, some things weren't even ordered. But I'm hoping Tim can pull a miracle for me.

If you get some more pics of the piping from the bov to the engine, it would be very appreciated.

Yea, Mike had mentioned earlier this summer he was looking to get out of the biz all together. Seeing that shop first hand, I can understand how you're missing parts. Not discrediting SP AT ALL, they do great work, just they are very unorginized.

Pipes should be pretty self explanitory once you start fitting everything on the car. My only suggestion is mount the intercooler first and then the exhaust mani. DON'T TIGHTEN ANYTHING UNTIL YOU GET ALL IN PLACE! Also, you may have to clock the turbo. They come from the factory standard, and if they didn't do it at the shop you will need to in order for everything to line up.

As far as the safc, you need that reistor. Tim should be able to supply a wiring diagram for you.

Good luck, I can try to answer any other questions you might have.

Did they pre-make the stainless fuel lines for you? Cuz those can be a pain in the @$$ to make if you've never done them before. Also, running the fuel return line may be trickey if don't have a lift or a nice set of jack stands. You have to feed it back under the car and up to the fuel pump for the return. I had to drop my gas tank a bit to snake it the line up there.

i'm guessing their pre-made. I'll find some way to get it in there to the tank.
