Default Nitrous TC's and some times

I am thinking about putting a 50 or 55 shot on my tc. I was wondering if any1 had any times for nitrous on there tc's or some1 else's tc. I am new here to the boards and still trying to find my way around here...so any help or links to other posts would be great. Sorry if this post has alreayd been posted. Have many more question about this also...Like where is the best place to get a nitrous system....are the ebay ones just as good as the others....How long should it take to hook the nitrous up and how big of a shot should be safe for the tc...Thanks guys

The biggest problem with nitrous is that you always want more. Once you've felt a 25 shot, you want to see what a 50 would be like. Then you try a 50 and wonder about 75. This is all well and good until you try one that you motor just doesn't like. Now, of course, is the second biggest bang for the buck (second to turbo/supercharging). Unfortunatly, it's amongst the worst for your engine's internals. You can blow your motor if you get too crazy with it. Stock internals aren't designed to handle that much boost. So parts either wear significantly faster, or break all together.
Just be careful with it. I wouldn't do more then a 50 shot on stock internals. THROW AWAY ANYTHING BIGGER!

As far as general systems are concerned......there are two types of nitrous
dry - injects nitrous BEFORE the fuel is mixed with air.
wet - injects nitrous AFTER the fuel is mixed with air.

I don't know why, but I wouldn't trust ebay for nitrous AT ALL. And I buy quite a bit of stuff from ebay.

A 5-speed TC in Florida on a 85 degree night with high humidity ran a 15.2 1/4 mile on the stock engine with only an axel back exhaust and stock 17" wheels. He was running a 50 shot that night. I drove a stock 5-speed the same night and ran 16.3. If you want to know more about where to get a Nytrex Kit, pm me for deep discount. They make kits specified for the tc engine which can be set for a 35, 50, 75, and 100 shot.

We ran that same car against a supercharged tc at a 40mph roll. The nitrous tc walked away easily using only a 50 shot.

You can easily run a 75 shot. I'm uncomfortable going above that..but yes, i've run 75..no problems. Back to 50 tho.

Neither is "good" for your engein, but I prefer a wet kit. I don't know if that answers your question or not.

Not getting nitrous is the best. But I think that getting dry would be second best. And wet third best.
0 nitrous is best, then 25 shot, then 50, then 75. Anything more then 50 or 75, and you significantly risk blowing your engine. NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTEE!!!!!

The more performance you try to get out of it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the worse it is for your engine.

True true...but if you must have it....the warrantee is all the more reason to get a top of the line kit and do your homework so you won't have problems

Also....don't become a junkie...if you need constant speed, go turbo/supercharge. I keep nitrous on the track...
