Yep - the toyota clutch rod should work just fine with your tC

The front and rear engine mounts are the first line of defense in controling the engine torque - they are what control the movement of the engine. The right and left mounts do not control this - they are there to support the weight of the engine - thus there is no need for poly there If we made poly right and left mounts, there would not be any real benfit - but probably extra vibration that nobody really wants, so the front and rear are the best choice!

Hope that explains it well

The engine does not have to be lifted out of the bay - or anything like that... It is just when you have the mount/s out - if will need to rock back and forth a bit, to get that rear mount in ;)

Does 60 bucks sound like a good price for installing these ?

That would be a great price imo - that is just about an hour of labor, and it probably realistically takes ~ 2 hours. If we were doing an install - we would probably charge 2 hours, and our rate is $55 an hour

My buddy installed his on Friday. Said the back one was a pain to off for the swap. Told me he ended up dropping the frame to get at the mount. Took him about 3.5 hours to do both from the moment the car went up on the lift. Now, has anyone had a nice clean install that didn't involve any major work?

Well i got my front one in and figured i would do a little review....

1) Install of the front mount is an absolute cake walk...i swear it took me longer to get my car jacked up then getting it out....

**Note i will be doing the rear mount later...hopefully on a lift to make life easier**

2) Started the car and my car feels solid.....in a really good way....now i know people are worried about the vibrations but without the A/C on its not bad at all....with the A/C on its a little bumpy but nothing that i wont get use to.....i was definitely expecting worse vibrating than i got!!!

3) Reversed the car and no jerky movements from the engine at all.....then i took off in first and a HUGE smile came to my face......for those that hate the movement of this engine.....these mounts are amazing.....I can literally feel my car staying on the road 100% better than before....

4) One odd thing that i did notice....and it may have nothing to do with the mounts but my shifter (OEM) feels tighter and more precise.....i am no sure if the engine movement has any correlation but there is a significant difference with my shifter....

Overall just on the front mount A+ on the quality and performance!!!
dealing with slight vibrations is completely worth the feeling the tC becomes with these mounts......

Also as for people not wanting to do the rear...i asked a couple of people in the auto industry and racing world....i was told that the OEM rear will wear out much quicker due to the new front poly mount and therefore the rear one will need to be put in....the rubber with wear since less give up front....

Anyone else do their's????? If anyone does the rear and can take any kind of pics.....please do so....it is a help to everyone!!!

Thanks Speed Source!!!!

I also have the fronts installed and the only thing that bothers me is the vibration when taking off, as a daily driver i am definetly liking it.

But then again these are 10x better than Stiffy and i would recommend this to anyone who likes racing, ect.

These are a huge improvement.

what is the position of the rear mount in relation to the sides of the vehicle? is it in the center or is it closer to the driver's side? The pic of pulling it out from the driver's side at the intake didn't give me much idea.

When will these be available again? I was planning on getting the Ingalls ETD but I'm totally getting this instead! It's about time someone made motor mounts for the tC :D

I have the Ingalls ETD and my engine is planted in the bay. I have no wheel hop and just solid, flat tire spin if i break traction. No vibration inside other than a VERY MINIMAL idle vibration when it's cold out for the first 2-3 minutes.

Now, with that said...............Combining both the ETD and the motor mounts, will this make the car feel like it has solid motor mounts? I can tell you that if it does, I'll definately pass. I've driven a 240 with solid motor mounts and it's the most uncomfortable and annoying ride/sound EVER. How much of a vibration will be felt with both the mounts AND the ETD on? I have the ETD set to 13mm (1 mm tighter than stock).

Thanks for the answers/PMs.
