I dont know how much boost Ill run because I dont know what turbo im going to use. Hopefully I can probe all the auto trans haters wrong, but if i dont. oh well. i guess you guys told me so.

 

Nah man. I didn't say it like to bring you down or your hopes down. In just saying it's never been done and pretty hard to do. Judy fo a manual swap and make mid 400 whp and slicks and you will be at 11's!!

 

here in denver it got 47 last night and it was 91 in the day in winter it is often below 0 and usually mid 20s in the winter what oil would you recomend

 

and the email didnt go through amsoil

 

hmm idk if i would run a 50 weight oil in my motor... seems scary to me..

 

you run w/e the engine builder recomends! if u think he's wrong. you can send out your oil for testing

 

no ill run what oil has been proven to work most efficient with all built tc's on the forum lol, use whats been proven

for stock motors.. thats great..


But when peolpe use diff clearnaces they need diffrent oil! 5w30 on a motor making 400whp is not enough lube at that heat!

not arguing at all.. i ran 5w30 in my stock motor till the day it died! bearings looked great!

New motor new tolerances new oil!

20w50 now and its running great!

 

I stand corrected: The pour points for racing oils are -33F for 15W50 and -44F for 10W30! Either are fine and will take all the abuse in the cold dense air

 

sssaawweeeeet...now i just have to remember what tolerances i set my bearings to haha.....if i remember correctly i was just barely under spec on all of them...well i think i was actually a tad over now that i think about it

 

i use gear oil for motor oil all the same ish who cares

 

what weight weezy? and are you on stock motor?
