stage 4 clutch/turbo help
stage 4 clutch is slipping with turbo wtf this clutch is brand new competiotion clutch, only on on the car for about 6800 miles, i step on gas and bring the rpm up the mph fly up but then when i shift they shoot right back down, i dont hear my tires spinning can anyone explain this?
firstly, you're going to have to explain it a little more clearly. What shoots down, the RPM's or the MPH?
RPM means when you shift, the next gear has less teeth than the one before, meaning it spins slower, meaning the RPM's are lower. It should be 1st gear redline to 6250>shift>RPM's at around 3500>redline again>shift>RPM's at 4500 rinse repeat
now the numbers I'm saying aren't accurate, it's just a range to give you an idea.
now if it's the MPH that's shooting up and then dropping back down again, your tires are spinning.
if your clutch was slipping, you would give it gas and hear the engine and the RPM's shoot up and the car doesn't go anywhere, the MPH wouldn't move. <----Dead clutch.
