Check the shop manual. The specs might be there.

Cant run full e85 haha - im running my custom blend of E60 on my 700's with stock fuel pump It runs perfect on this mix however going to true E85 casues me to lean out over 5500 rpm. Im currently on 10 psi (turbo is a T3/60-1) - however it is on a built motor (9:1 compression). My reason for asking this question was to see if its my fuel pump maxing out, or my injectors. Basically I want to know if I can just toss in the 255 im getting and go to full E85 or if Ill have to wait till I get everything for my return setup and stick with E60 for now Either way the return setup is coming within the next couple weeks - Im just wondering if its worth my time to throw in the 255 this weekend or not

oh I see, well I'm on 8.5psi on a t3/t04e 57trim, 63ar hot and 60ar cold. That's with 700cc inj. and 255 walboro. Injector duty is high 80's low 90's. I noticed that it normally gets to mid 90's when it spikes (ex. 9.5psi). What I did to fix it is to take some fuel out over my target psi safely, logging and making sure that if it spikes, that it won't lean out. So far whenever it spikes the AFR's stay the same, only the inj. duty cycle goes up.

I want to go up to 9.5psi, just not sure if it's gonna stay under 95%. Well see, I might give it a try. By the way, I've been meaning to ask you. Where did u get the OBDII adapter to usb to be able to use the "ScanXL elm -xforce" software. I was able to get the program, but finding a cheap adapter or one that simply works, has been kinda hard.

Just curious so what AFR are you running? Whats your timing like?

Thanks for the info man

didnt you check your duty cycle? it might be the pump but also consider that stock fp its only flowing to keep fuel pressure at 3 bar constant, even if it can flow more thats all the pressure it is required to build.. when you go w/ fuel return that could easily max out. but always keep your duty cycle below 80%

oh why not go with full e85? no headache doing mixtures.. and more knock protection

Yea Im more or less thinking that its simply outflowing the stock fuel pump - when I did some datalogs it was like it didnt matter how much fuel I added over 5500 rpm when running straight E85 the afr stayed the same however the duty cycle would vary based on the adjustment I made - making me think it was just outflowing the pump

On my E60 blend I have it tuned right around 12.5:1 afr and it holds it just fine - sometimes goes a bit richer but thats it. Also this is on 9:1 comp btw

Oh btw when I tried straight E85 it would go to like 13.4-13.6 over 5500 rpm

BTW for anyone reading this - i understand the diff in stoich between e85 and pump gas - Im simply using pump gas (14.7 as stoich) references rather than lambda as thats what my wideband is set to read

yeah.. using gasoline afr gauge.. treat it like a regular gasoline afr coz its based on lambda. Lambda doesnt change but the true afr does. Dude you need that a fuel return so bad.. Im at 35-40% dutycycle at only 5-6 psi, 900cc w/ fuel return w/ pressure 50psi

Cool thanks, I ended up finding it for $45. It's nice that it comes with a program, but I'll prolly use scanXL. If it works I might be able to give u a copy and see if u like it.

I haven't smooth out the wot map completely, having a weird issue lately at around 3.5k. It goes to 13.2 for about .2 secs, then 11.8 for .2 secs, then 10.4 for about the same and then continues at around 11.8. Not sure if it is some kind of transition, cuz the fuel map is perfectly sequential as well as the O2.

Anyways, ranges from 12.3 (3k) down to 11.8 by redline, pulling 3.85 deg by 8.5/9 psi. Pretty nice other than that weird hick up.

^^ check your injector latency settings.. its possible that could be the issue

prolly around 12 psi you will be fine.. but make sure your total fuel pressure doesnt exceed what your injectors can handle, some injectors are good up to 80 psi.. so if you have a base fuel pressure of 60psi, at 10psi of boost you are at 70 psi fuel pressure

^that I took care off long time ago, to easy my tuning. I shouldn't change with the type of fuel, should it? Currently at around 923us on 700cc's. I did the keep it around 2k thing and see if it would stay without fluctuating up and down. Might have to check it out.

^^ i did notice some different properties on E85, i have to do adjustments on the initial injector opening so might need to change a bit in your fuel map
