Default Supercharger

I'm looking to get a supercharger for my 07 TC. THe TRD supercharger is $3,100 and I DO NOT want to spend that much. Are there any other superchargers that can fit our cars and that are cheaper then the TRD? please help!!

not trying to threadjack, but is it true that the '08 S/C models wont fit the '07. Im looking for one too and found this one, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting but the guy said it doesnt work w/ '07 models. Why did scion make the s/c only compatable for '05-'06 and leaving '07 & '08 on its own.

The guy from the dealership said that it only works on the cars made after april 07 and up because the computer system is completely different. Then again, not all of the Toyota dealers know what they're talking about. I'll google it.

I've heard this too...not sure if I believe it. Look on TRDSparks.com and you'll see what I mean. The 07 and 08 supercharger have the EXACT same part number. They would have no way to monitor which computer system got which upgrade if they were different. (That's part of the reason there's a difference between the 06 and 07 S/C kits.)

Anyway, that's my opinion.

They changed the dimensions on the 07+ tcs. The supercharget just simply won't fit. The intake manifold on the later tCs are a different size.

Oh and the dealership guy is talking out of his ___.

Computers meh. There is a different map for the TRD supercharger. and Anyone can get a standalone. Because a computer is different does not mean the part won't work for your car.

i don't mean to "threadjack" or whatever it's called, but approx. how much HP does a supercharger add to the car?

05-06 are same
07-08 are same
s/c will yield about 50, it all depends on what dyno and stock bpv vs aftermarket ect ect

I'm working on a project that puts the cheaper '06 s/c into an '07. It's going to take a bit of time to round up all the parts, but keep an eye on that.
