My friend is taking a cheap way out and buying a supercharger off craigslist for 550. The guy is says its brand new just missing some parts and he is not trying to invest in his tc he is trying to get more into his trx...

550 seems a little low for a supercharger thats brand new
and how would you be able to tell its in new or good condition
ALSO WOULD an 08tc supercharger work on an 07tc

 

Yes it will fit. And look up a parts list and go from there.

 

what about the price he said it only came with pulley and injectors and the supercharger... is that a low price for all that and what about knowing if it is broken?

 

Take it to a shop and check it out. And if it only cane with 3 parts that you said you have alot more things missing and if thAt's the case no it's not worth it. Might as well spend couple hundred more and get a stage 0. And it will still be better then the s/c.

-there is a long list of things that you will be needing. 550 sounds good if you have the SC installed already and just want a 2nd unit ready to go when the 1st starts to go under

 

I saw that on eBay, tell your friend he is going to have a nasty time finding the rest of the parts since the SC is no longer in production, that's a good deal if you already have a kit and just need to upgrade to a newer version like I want to do, but I can't afford it right now.
