Well there was a previous thread with people stated that it will void your warrenty and the paint will trap heat!! Before i had it done, i had Called TRD directly to make sure that Powdercoating the unit will not void the warrenty or hinder performance in any way.. they said no to both.. will be fine...
Well im not sure what to say about trapping heat. I would think that spraying anything on becides jethot or a jethot like material would cause heat soak - anybody that knows more on the subject like to comment? Im really really really really shocked TRD didnt say that "voiding anything in any manner will void the warranty" like they normally say. I would find its TRD'like for you to go in for warranty repair and have them not cover it.
the only thing that is JetHot Coated is the heatshield.. the rest on the unit is regular Powdercoating... i have seen superchargers in the past at shows, and it just didn't do justice because it doesn't stand out.. so when i finally got a hold of one (Raffle prize FTW!!) i definetly wanted to make it alot cleaner looking.

You guys are funny, thanks for that. I want to get mine coated one day. I wonder about what can be done about the disasemble process. I don't want to be the one to take it apart, not that i'm a complete moron. Polishing is also an option for me.
well just by look at it.. it's only a couple bolts.. 3 on the charger side, 3 on the pulley side.. and a quick removal of the belt.. i'm sure the bolts will need a good crank to remove since they do use Threadlocker...
I chose black because my original was Black Chrome, but getting it polished first wouldve cost me a pretty penny.. Blue was on the list, but then it would be just too much.. so Black came out on top because it just flows perfectly.
