This was debated in the other thread.. but it turned to name calling and bad attitudes - very common for this forum.

I am sticking with my opinion that NO it will not cause a dramatic affect in temperatures and limit performance. I based my answer on the fact that many people paint their turbo compressor housings - yet people claim that this isn't the same thing. I believe the compressor housing on a centrifugal S/C is the same as a turbo's...

 

I feel it would have a dramatic effect. OP if you have a temperature gun temp your supercharger after driving it hard, I will do the same with mine so we can get ACCURATE numbers as to see if that coating does anything aside from look gorgeous!

 

^^ That won't be accurate unless you do it in the same geographical area with the same ambient temps and humidity at the same psi, running the same amount of load.

yeah. yours is cool, i seen your thread on ClubSciontC.. i was thinking blue.. but that would be too much for me, so i went Hot Sexy Wet Black..

And with the temp.. i don't think you can get accurate readings with different climates and such.. the coating i got isn't a ceramic coating or heatsoak coating... i got the heatsoak coating on the heatshield, and that thing is still hot as hell

Ill giv it to this guy - its pretty darn nice looking. Now he doesnt have 280whp with it and I would doubt 280 - but the looks are nice

 

trust he has around 280 plus cuz kenny tran from jotech tuned it so i knw 4 a fact its running does numbers ill even get a print out of his sheet if ya like.... but ya if u really look hard u will c certain things why its pushin that power just look hard at the pics
