Hey kik, I got the supercharger you rebuilt for riceizgood. The three bolts on the back of the compressor housing are loose. Do those need to be torqued down to some particular spec? Do you know if there's a spec drawing or cutaway or something online showing how the snail and shaft go together? I'm getting confused with the terms.

Yes it needs to be torqued down till they are nice and tight. I left them loose so you could position it on the car.

get these bearings if u have not. it will make a difference. hes a good guy to work with. couldnt ask for anything else. here is a vid of a good s/c next to a bad s/c.

lol "goood supercharger, baaaad supercharger" Dang man how did that happen? That side of the s/c is cooled/lubed by the oil, should be very hard for it to get damaged unless you run with low oil for a while or something. I took my s/c apart last week to double check the innards and it was all perfect.

i have no clue how it happen. kept hearing bad stuff in the engine bay so im finally getting it fix.

i wonder if bad pulley/shaft are to blame.... if those are bad enough they might cause other stuff to break from vibration.
