I can barely hear mine even with intake. The only time it's somewhat noticable is at idle and when I slowly coast on a parking lot - then it purrs a bit. At WOT - you can't tell it's there by the sound except the BPV venting on shifts.

I don't like the sound of the Supercharger if it does sound like that mustang.

 

im still going to try and see if someone else has this sound that i have. when my car just starts the (clangclangclang) sound doesnt come into play till the car is 20seconds into being started or so. Other then that .... it performs fine and isnt leaking.

 

That is normal. The rattling sound does not start right away. It does take a few seconds before it shows up.

 

Im loving how everybody says this ..... (which in a way im very happy that that is the case) ....but thats F'N ODD!! It sounds so nice till that sound starts. ....nice whistle .....then ... **WHISTLE**CLANGCLANGCLANG***WHISTLE ... im wondering why vortech had things like that ... Does anybody know why the sound is happening? ......now that im aware that its normal.

 

This is a roots type blower - and it does sound sweet. I miss that sound a lot - even on a tiny Matrix it was fun.
