i think the afrs would be that bad, but then as you get wideband and more gauges you might get paranoid and settle with an ems to tune it lol

my thoughts....

non recirculated bov and it being too loosely adjusted, i say this because itll open even when im cruising around 20 vac and let off

the car doesnt stall when i stop but the rpms do drop to about 500 and jump back up past 1k and then settle at 650

only things ive done lately since installing the kit was get the new bov and have not adjusted it perfect....and also i put 1 step colder copper plugs with a .028 gap, i think i might raise the gap to .032
I have seen this happen on one car a few times and could not figure it out until recently. He ended up having a pipe that had gotten a VERY small hole in it due to some debris he had ran over on the highway or something. I had asked him about hitting anything recently, and he said he had ran over something a few days ago before the code tripped.

I pulled off a few pipes and discovered the gash/hole. Fixed, end of story.

hey paul how effective is a boostleak tester on our cars ive notice the throttlw body to not be completely close when off...wouldnt air leak through there and into the motor...then again the motor would act as the final seal right

k well i did the boost leak test i leaked two couplers...lol they were loose, k got that fixed next problem...

i did a boost leak test from the intake of the compressor and when i did it i noticed smoke coming from the crankcase breather, not like pressurised air just smoke,

before u go and say oh well looks like rings or valve seals are shot...

im thinking that maybe i have boost leaking past the turbo seals since they arent filled with oil and then the air is going down through the return hose and into the oil pan thus causing crankcase smoke...

please verify....

by no means am i complaining..if the motor gets fried ptuning will be a happy shop....but yea i was reading online and they say its normal for boost to leak into the crankcase during a boost leak test, its one of those things that leaks only during a test but not while driving..
