It gets SUBSTANTIALLY quieter. People used to ask me if it was normal before, now there's no mention of it even existing.

same with me. I need a quieter sound. Whats involved to get the idle up 150rpm's? Can the idle be tuned or is that controlled via the ecu? Sounds dumb but I just dont know the answer. If I barely tap the gas ....barely..... the sound goes away.

I am 99% sure the ECU controls the idle speed. Just not adjustable the way cars used to be.

Have you changed your plugs out to Denso iridium ik24's yet? You might try that. Mine starts better after installing those as well. If you're looking to get them garage1217/desertheat can hook you up

this may be a stupid question, but with all the "restrictions" dropped on us sc owners, is a change in oil or plugs of any concern? By that i don't mean mechanically, but TRD wise?

I would seriously doubt it but idk, you could ask your dealer first to make sure

I wasnt bringing up the idle because of the starting issue. If the car is 150rpm higher about it will reduce the supercharger sound. As soon as a touch the gas the sound pretty much goes away almost instantly. But - yes - it prob cant just be turned up the way things used to work.

Mine is making this noise too. It seems to have gotten louder than when I first got it installed. I hope it is normal.

Yeah im planning on getting a S/C for my 07 TC and i wanted to know if that sound is normal? I've never herd one before but from watching those videos....are they normal if they sound like that? Also if there is something worse does it sound louder than the videos?

I think that is normal. Mine sounds a bit different than that. But I have to go listen to it again. Maybe I'm just being paranoid.
