it seems if you want to keep DBW going with the RX8 TB is the only choice. If your converting to cable you have limitless options.

And you still have the same size hole in the intake. Unless you are going to change that then this will gain you almost nothing.

An intake manifold or an intake tube? Pretty sure the hole in the mani is the same size as the stock TB , which is what I was referring to.

to get the best gains IMO.....descendent intake mani, cut off there throttle body flange and replace with a custom flange that is bigger to accommodate for the rx8 TB

really.....

thats like asking if you can use emanage on an f/i tc or an n/a tc.

the applications are limitless as far as this matter goes. you will see gains for both apps with the rx8 TB. i can see it having more gains with f/i though but if your going for 200hp na then it would also be nice.

Rasta... it would be pretty clear if it was the manifold or just an intake... you would have needed to remove the throttle body and then remove the intake manifold, as it is the part that bolts to the head.

What everyone calls an "intake" is just the tubing running from the throttle body to the air filter.

If the hole in the intake manifold (the part the throttle body bolts to) is not made larger, then the TB will net you nothing assuming the hole is the same size as the stock TB, which I am pretty sure it is. Actually, you are potentially doing nothing more than creating more turbulence at the manifold.

If you have an aftermarket intake mani and the hole is larger than stock, then the TB will probably give you some gain..just not a huge amount.

if your going to hack of the flange of a sheet metal intake manifold, you might as well just put a 90mm Q45 TB on it and snag a cable from the junk yard... lol. wait.. only i would do that
