Yea, I turned around saw the UPS truck stop infront of my driveway ran outside and met him before he got to my door...LoL. I coulda gave the guy a hug I was so happy to see the Header finally arrive.

With all the talk of the increase of underhood heat from the Header and it possibly causing problems with the S/C, how effective do you guys think the Kaminari CF Reverse Cowl hood would be?

Yea I would supose not. I just would rather find another way to cool the engine compartment other than coating/shielding the Header. Oh, and of course one of my friends had to touch the header last night, so there is a slight discoloration on the tube closest to the intake side. Couldnt wipe it off because he actually touched it while it was still hot...LoL not to smart.

But anyways, ive dropped off my car with my Uncle and will be picking it up tomorrow night around 7pm. When I talked to him he said the Master Tech that is doing the install has 3 other installs on a tC to his name. So that put me more at ease with that.

Ok, so now my uncle calls me this morning and said "the tech wants to talk to you" First thing the guy says "I hope you didnt pay to much for this header" I ask why, "well it's rubbing on the oil pan, and on the driveshaft too, it's almost worn completely through there." So, I just told him to do what he could do. He also said "im not sure if the S/C will fit around this thing" I told him I know it will fit, the rubbing is my only concern.

But I then called my uncle back and told him when the guy takes off the S-Pipe/bottom portion of the Header to install the oil pan, that if he sees where it is rubbing to give it a little wack with a wrench...LoL

i had MMW header installed on a buddies tC at the dealer, had no clearance/fitment issues at all

Ok my comp = teh suxorz. Ive been trying for the last 30 mins to get back on SL.

But ya, when I installed the Header I saw no fitment issues. The tech said basically that it was only rubbing when under load. It has to be the S-Pipe it's the only pipe that passes by the driveshaft. Im not worried about the rubbing on the oil pan so much that is easily correctable. But the driveshaft's spinning speed will eat through the header like a rat through cheese. I just hope it's in good enough shape to last the 60mile trip from the dealer to home.

Ill update you guys on this when I get home from work around 7-8 tonight. Gotta Go

Well Install is complete, my car is waiting for me at my Uncles house. I guess my Uncle said the tech was able to find a way to keep the Header from rubbing, so I shouldnt worry about that anymore. But when I get it home Im going to put it up on the jack stands just to be sure...see what exactly he did...

Ill post up some pics either later tonight, when im done enjoying it, or if I dont get the chance first thing tomorrow morning. Im also going to post a sound/vid clip within the weekend.

I will be at Irwindale in two weeks, for their Thursday Night Drags. California Speedway I dunno... they run on Saturdays, and I work weekends. So if you go to Irwindale you will for sure see me there.
