not installed yet. Will be next friday though. Being delivered on thursday the 24th and then I'm dropping my car off at the dealership that same day for it to be installed the next day (friday). Will be done by the end of that day or the next day.

So do we really have to baby it the first 500 miles? I was told that it didn't matter.

Yea, I was told the same thing. Ive already clocked about 300mi with the S/C on, but Ive done a couple quick pulls with it. It will come with a paper/info booklet that will give you some info. It makes some noises at idle that go away after you have gone above idle by 400-500rpm...Kinda like a clicking noise. But you can tell the power has deff shifted higher in the RPM band.

Well im outa time right now, im on a Hotel computer...Ill be back on tomorrow. Later.

k&n fits. i know because i have it. i posted the part number before so just search. leave the trumpet for the MAF and modify the Hydrocarbon filter but leave the outside because u need it to make the top seal with the bottom.

good luck

I wanna take my car out to the track just two days after I get the S/C installed. Is that a wise decision?

I wanna keep my car safe, so I probably won't get to drag...shoot!

I don't think i can drive out two tanks of gas in two days.

i honestly think nomatter what a manual says - go atleast 200miles and just let it run ... not even boosting ...but just running. Let it move for a few hundred then do whatever. Turned out that driving back from the dealer was like 50miles for me ..then going on a few 60mile trips the day after ... my break-in period was over within a week of getting it installed.

Well, since I am about to start the fall semester at sac state, I will be driving a lot. I drive to work 5 days a week also, so i think i'm going to be so broke filling up with premium gasoline. I hope it's worth it...

I may have to start finding a new ride as a daily driver...

ive broke it down and between the extra cost for gas and more gas you use - it turned out to be about $10/week more. If that is ok for you - then the s/c is for you.

I was gunna hit up the Local 1/8th, but I think now im gunna wait till the following week to go. I still have about 200 miles till it's fully broken in, and Im going to order my NST Pulley when I get home from my vaca on Tuesday.

I just ordered my NST 9.5lb Pulley, so hopefully that comes in soon. My s/c is bout broken in now, it has 422 miles on it since install. I may dyno it in the weeks to come, just to see where im at now, because eventually I want to do a cooling set-up too.

So i guess warranty was not in your plans...why didn't you go turbo? You'd be at 250+ whp with turbo rather than 200+ with S/C + NST pulley. And with a turbo, you would already have an intercooler and management.
