Default trd s/c problem. noise in cabin. HELP/ ADVICE

I have had my s/c on 2007 TC for 500 miles and one of the trd denso fuel injectors appears to just took a ____. I noticed a couple of weeks ago a loud ticking noise from inside the cabin and it only lasted one drive. Then last night it started again, then again today also. It sounded like it was coming from the injectors. I listened to the top of the valve cover on each cylinder and everything sounds fine. I pulled out the trd ones and reinstalled the stock ones and now the noise is gone. I also noticed when it was ticking my boost gauge would fluctuate at idle just a little bit. The sound would go away after 2000rpm. I tested the injectors with a ohm meter and they are all reading at 12.5. It must be a internal problem with one of them. Since I'm on stock injectors NO boost for me. It does have the dealership flash on it. Anyone else have any issues LIKE THIS?

Well it could be your valve shims. The top left of my block kept ticking, like you could hear it from outside of the car. Then 3 months later, my motor blew.

Get it checked at Toyota, that was my mistake for thinking it was the injectors firing.

So the driver side of the block? I think that is the same place where the noise is coming from on mine. Did it only do it at lower rpm and how did you know that it was valve shims? Sometimes it will be at low rpm then sometimes it goes away. thanks

On mine it was the passenger side sorry. Should have said facing the motor haha. Well i've had lots of people with the same problem tell me it was the valve shims. Basically, my ticking was bad. It would tick when I would cruise or when I accelerate under 40% throttle. It would go away on WOT.

But either way, valve shims or not, please get it diagnosed at Toyota. I wish I would have done that, then I still would have my car.

Don't forget to put the TRD supplied spark plugs back on.

everything is back to the oem s/c setup. Im really starting to think that is the valves. Hopefully they will put a new head on it.

Well took it to toyota and 2 hours later they say the bearings in my s/c are shot... What??? This s/c has barely 500 miles

But wait a second... I took off the serpentine belt and rotated the s/c and no sound.
I then bought a stethoscope and started searching. I found the noise! Its the vsv valve clicking and it was wedged against the strut tower causing noise through the firewall into the cabin. My lucky day!!

hey yea i was going to say vsv, and i can bet that your boost gauge is running off the same vac line that goes to or from the vsv right? this causes your boost gauge to flucuate after its warmed up....common problem with 07 and 08 motor, switch your boost gauge line have it runnign off the brake booster....
