183?? i guess its a bit low either i'm not getting the full 7psi, or the temperature. It was 95* F in the shop, the car was already heat soaked from the 10 mile drive to the shop. After the second run-in which i got 185whp- I touched the supercharger housing and it was easily 200*F, can you imagine 200*F air going into the engine, that kills power.
i doubt that the temperature of your s/c had dramatically hurt your performance.....when most people talk about heat soaked, it either for that 10 miles, you werer gunning every light, or accelerating in boost for the whole 10 miles....of course that thing is gonna get hot, its the nature of going FI.....but people have driven over 100 miles to go get a tune, and put out the same numbers....also, with the s/c, don't you install a new cooler operating thermostat?
^ i know it wont hurt it drastically but a little cooldown time and an ambient temp of about 70-75*F would make a small difference... and yes the s/c kit comes with a 160* thermostat.
