so is this an available option for the 2009 TC ?

i dont see it on the scion website anymore under the build tc option, i see limited slip and other nice accessories.

another question,
if the TRD supercharger is available for the 09 TC - did anything change on the assembly or did the engine setup change at all to where we cannot use 05 - 06 or 07 NST 9.5 pound pulley ?

i was turbo before, since i have taken the turbo off and sold it, i still want more kick, but since im buying a new TC i need to make sure i buy a TC that i can throw the supercharger on and a 9 or 10 psi pulley on....

05/06 are different from 07-09 the intake manifold i think is different tahts y intakes for the 05 and 06 different from 07 to 09 so basically the 08 supercharger will work

 

^ it's the MAF sensor that's different I believe... I don't know about the Intake Manifold...

 

^my point is, there is surely a good question asking if anything is different. Just because a year before had the same setup 100% has nothing to do with the next year.

 

yeah, i called the local scion dealer, asking them, they were like we need ot find out we will give you a call back .. i cant imagine they would discontinue the supercharger on the 09 model .. they did say that hardly anyone buys the supercharger though .. that's why it's not on the main scion car configurator.

 

^who is "they say" - they sold so many 05-06 s/c that they dropped the price - I think whomever said that is full of poop.

actually my friend works at westbury toyota here in NY and hes a mechanic and there been talk that there gonna discontinue making teh supercharger bc of all the problems theyve had wit them

last time i spoke to him he actually said that cause i told him i was interested in going boost and he said watever i do dont go supercharger cause toyota is actually trying to discontinue the SC but he said theyve been trying for awhile to discontinue it so i dunno if they are gonna offer it anymore
