Default Treadstone Turbo Kit

I was wondering what else would I need to purchase after buying the Turbo kit that Treadstone offers for $3000? or is it safe to go right out of the box?

Its a good bang for your buck. Definetly get some engine management, and be prepared to cut the bumper and crashbar..

The Treadstone kit CAN run without engine management but as mentioned, get one. Your car will run alot better with it. You're gonna need to cut the vents in the bumper to make room for the charge pipes and you're also going to need to cut the crash bar to make room for the intercooler. You're going to need gauges as well.

hahaha ya another one of those questions. I'm not gonna be a jerk. Heres the quick answer. There is no best turbo kit for the tC. Treadstone, TurboToyotas, Dezod, Greddy, Turbonetics all have their own positives and negatives. The best kit would be the one that suits YOUR needs best. Figure out your budget, what kind of performance gains you want, etc and then whatever comes out on top of a long list of factors that would determine what YOU NEED from a turbo kit, that is the best turbo kit for YOU to buy.

Don't boost on a budget, give Paul over @ Dezod a pm, he will point you in the right direction depending on your needs.

It All Depends on what you want to do. If you want more power then you need some sort of engine management. Keep in mind you will have to get a new charge pipe if you get e-manage. You will have to get rid of the Velocity stack MAF (treadstone uses it to tune the kit. It work in conjunction with the stock ECU) that comes with the treadstone kit and drop the MAF back down to the stock position. If you get a standalone then the MAF doesn’t even matter. In my case I will be using the AEM EMS with the EUGO Wide band to measure my A/F….

treadstone does suck even though im using their manifold cutting the crashbars sillly, i love my dezod fmic & piping the frount mount is thick and fills the lower grill flush having every sq. inch of that thing getting air.
