Hey guys, i don't remember seeing anything concrete on tuning closed loop on the fic. I know there is a table to get the 02 map to show up in afr instead of voltages. However, how does one decide which afr's to put where in closed loop. Is it more of a set figure, ie 13.8 afr across all rpm at this pressure level, and then 12 afr across all rpm at that pressure level?

I'm got my open loop tune dialed in, but i'm running too rich in partial throttle, low boost.

 

Pretty much have your AFR's go from 13.0 at 0 psi and be at 12.3 by 4 psi and you'll be good. Smoother is better.

 

Yea I have noticed the 2az likes a bit more fuel and runs smoother when richer.

 

just tune where you feel like you have smooth power, 13 at 0, tapering down to 12.0 up to 6psi then 11.7 up to 10psi sounds good but depends on you timing too.. Low vacuum I target 14.0-13.0

 

I usually like a 12.5:1 or 12.75:1 AFR by dead zero vac and the onset of boost.

 

With my SS Enrichment tool, I have it set to 12.3 at 0 psi and it sticks there like glue until open loop, then Greddy does it's magic. Very smooth and nice power.
