Default turbo build help

whatups guys so i am almsot donw with my turbo build, just wanna make sure i get the right size for my spipe and midpipe. I have an HKS exhaust on right now with the stock spipe and midpipe. I measured the the turbo down pipe and it measure 2.4/5s ( im not sure how to write it but its grater then 2.5) i thought it would be jsut 2.5 but guess not. So my question is should i get a 3 inch spipe and mid pipe or idk and i have to look up for the hks size hopfeully it matches up. let me know wat you guys think i should do

In most cases 2.5" will do just fine and you can make good power with it, but reducing back pressure as much as possible is ideal to squeeze out as much HP in the top end as possible. Most people that are boosted will go with 3" from the down pipe back; and the only companies that sell 3" exhaust systems are P-Tuning and Descendant that I can think of otherwise you can just go the custom route.

I know ScionAndrew is trying to get rid of his custom 3" S-pipe back with a cf HKS hi-Power muffler for $200 shipped in the classifieds which is a pretty nasty deal. Just a heads up.

still working on the spipe and down pipe, just gotta get some vacum lines for my gauges but while i was going over my kit last night i also noticed with the wastegate theres another end to it, im not sure what it needs to be bolted up to or it just stays open, its hard to explain but when i get home ill snap a pic of it... im new to the turbo game so any help would be necessary .. thanks

wastegate will bolt to manifold, the other end of wastegate you can leave open but your engine bay will look like hell after a while. It will blow carbon all over the place, so its best to have a dump tube fabbed up and ran towards the ground.

as far as vac line for the wastegate you will want to hook a vac line to the bottom port and leave the top port open unless you are running an electronic boost controller that requires both ports to be connected to the controller.
