Default Turbo size suggestions for dd

Im building my turbo kit soon and i wanna step it up from a basic 57 trim to something a little bigger. Whats a good size turbo that will make some more power that will still be good for daily driving. 54 trim maybe?

specs
57 trim
ar .63

perfect for boost and dd


anything bigger is going to hit your pockets hard and will mean modifications under the hood

no im talking about new radiators, new fans, battery relocation, just alot of work to make the turbo fit , prob removing ac

no you dont need to build the stock block unless you are trying to go over 350whp.

50 or 57 trim t3/t4
maybe 18g? thats what the greddy kit runs

what are your power goals?

60-1 maybe?

is a gt30 bigger? but thats going to be pretty pricey.

im sure you could get 300whp with a 57 trim and the lag wont be too bad

300whp is like 8-9 psi on a 57trim and full spool at 3k perfect....its like early VTEC hahaha

I made 295 on a 57 trim, easily. If I was tuned, I'd make 300-320 on a DynoDynamics, 330-350 on a DynoJet with my setup, on 11-12 PSI. I hit boost at about 3200-3400.

Because of my tune. I was running way too rich at 3-4k RPM, so it wasn't able to build up torque. The tuner at PTuning said with a pro tune, I'd be making 300-320/310-330 on their dyno.

I doubt he'd say anything about it. Assuming he gets the car, it's gonna need the hatch, and if he ends up not getting the car, I'm gonna need the hatch on it, lol.
