Damn thats a steal! Im really looking at this 6262 0 I can afford it ($900) but Im just trying to decide if its worth it over a 60-1. Oh, and the gtx series is WAY out of my price range (>$1500 IIRC) lol

i have a custom turbo bought recently. its a garret housing with .63ar turbine side, 6265 internals and a upgraded 11 blade wheels rather then the 6 blade wheel the 62 series turbos come in. and i havent gotten tuned but i floored it to see where it spools at. and rght now since i am not tuned i am on wastegate spring rate14.5 and i get full boost at 4100 and thats not even with a tune lol

Sooo after some more research Im thinking about going with a Precision 6057SP - supposed to be good to over 600whp and with the slightly smaller exhaust side than the 6262 it should have a pretty quick response, has anyone in the Scion world ran one of these?

i dunno if he ships gotta call and ask. and also just get a 6262 or bigger with a small turbine side. plus they have billet wheels which are lighter then the rest of the wheels thus help spool.

I tried to get in contact with Mike's however I talked to one guy, who was upfront that he just answered the phone and couldn't really help with questions, so he gave me to another guy, who still didn't seem to really understand me, or the car I was working with. After 15 minutes of explanation he couldn't see why I would want to put something as large as a 6262 on the tc - he kept recommending a gt35r at first, which I told him was out of my price range, than he insisted that one of the much smaller PTE's (like a 5557 I think) would be my best option :/ This on a 2.4L motor with built bottom end and head, revving to 7200-7500 rpm and shooting for mid 500whp. Nothing against them, Im sure it was just hard helping me over the phone, if I was there in person, Im sure they wouldve been able to figure things out. Also when I asked how much an off the shelf 6262 was, he quoted me $1000 + shipping, which is more than everyone else

Just my experience, oh well. I ended up talking to Kinetik Motorsports, who Ive purchased a t3/t4 57 trim from in the past for someone else's car, and after a little bit of indecisiveness, I decided to go with an off the shelf 6262, of course with Billet comp wheel, ported S compressor housing, and .63 exhaust side. Their price started at $899, with free shipping However once finding out I was a repeat customer, he gave me a 5% discount - bringing it down to just over $850 with free shipping.

So in the end, looks like Ill be happy with the 6262, esp from all the reviews Ive read from others on it.

Even though things didn't exactly work out with Mike's turbo, they still seem like a very reputable place, and I want to make sure no one thinks Im bashing them - just giving my honest experience.

damn should have told me once you got off the phone with them and i would have called them. now whoever you spoke with was not the guy i deal with or mike himself. was probably one of his new reps. cause from what i know he didnt have any male customer service reps. but i dunno your still getting a good deal with the 6262 cause from another shop i can get that price. thats if its in stock. now i dunno why they quoted you 1000. when i paid 850 and it came with a upgraded 11 blade wheel rather then the 6 blade wheel it comes with. dunno if your deal falls thru let me know. i'll call and talk to the guy i dealt with. he even asked me about my car and i told him and he said my turbo will be good for over 700whp. so i dunno man
